Fate is real. And infuriatingly vague. Sigismund’s Fate is bound to a prince. Which prince seemed obvious. But as everything he thinks he knows crumbles, who he is meant to serve and who he is meant to fight falls into question.

Prince Filip is only interested in finding a safe harbor with plenty of wine and a warm bed. Someone to share the bed with would be welcome too, if only he could trust someone not to turn him in for the bounty. When a mysterious group calling themselves the Hoard Guard come promising a remote hideaway and the power to fight his enemies, he agrees on the spot.
